Kelly Lefcourt is the creative heart behind Coastal by Kelly—a hairstylist, artist, and beach lover who turned art therapy into a full-blown passion. Her salon is a sunny, seaside-inspired space where art and hair come together in all the best ways. 

Kelly’s husband Chris jumps in as the unofficial hype man—sweeping floors, offering snacks, and answering calls with a smile. Together, they’ve created a joyful coastal escape where every visit feels like a little getaway.

Hello my name is Carmen I bring over 30 years of experience as a professional hairstylist , including time as a salon owner . I thrive on creating a relaxing and positive environment for my clients, My focus is on making my clients feel and look their best.

Mary Ellen is a veteran hairstylist who is a compassionate listener and understands the perfect hairstyle. Her expertise lies in challenging short hair ,straightening and special occasion looks. She’s proud of the lasting relationship she has built and continues to welcome new clients into her chair.

In her 20 years behind the chair, Denise brings her love for art, conversation and expert skills to give you your best look!

I started as assistant for a top hair colorist at Pierre Michel salon at the Trump towers. I also worked for many other salons throughout the city to expand my knowledge from  wall street to the west village and upper manhattan. In 2003 we decided to open a salon in Brick. Best thing we ever did. After 21 years we decided to sell and now work for Coastal by Kelly.

Hi I'm Maddy! I have always had a passion for hair that started long before I stepped into a salon.  Growing up, I was always doing hair whether it was on dolls, friends, or anyone that would let me.  Born and raised in Brick, NJ, I am proud to bring that lifelong love for hair into my work every day.  When I am not behind the chair, I enjoy spending time with family and friends that keep me grounded and inspired.

Quentin “Q”  brings 20 years of beauty-industry experience and a whole lot of heart to our front desk. With his bright personality and effortless charm, Q makes every guest feel like part of the Coastal family the moment they walk in. He keeps our days running smoothly — from greeting guests with a smile to juggling appointments and coordinating with our stylists — all while making the salon feel upbeat, welcoming, and truly unforgettable.
